Susan Tyler Jenkins
Born in the revolutionary year of 1968, on the first day of summer.
I have cycled between administration and visual art and writing projects most of the last 30 years. I engage the landscape in my photographic work, and trace the interaction between people and their environments. I write about the relationship of visual art to broader cultural shifts. I develop installation & sculptural work to install in public and exhibition spaces, as well as host cross-disciplinary collaboration and dialogue. I also teach meditation and contemplative art in the Shambhala buddhist tradition.
