About Susan

At the Brussels flea market in Saint Gilles

I’ve cycled between corporate admin and programming, writing, and creative practices since I was young.  I often notice connections between different disciplines and cultures that others miss. A natural bridge-builder, I’ve integrated into many communities and industries, driven by a quest to learn how humans can relate to each other better, with all of their attachments and fumblings.

My education in art and art history grounds my insight into these connections. Just as you study the plants in a garden to understand the qualities of the soil from which they grow, studying art provides rich evidence for understanding contemporary ideas and society – and human experience as a whole.

I’ve also practiced meditation for twenty years and studied buddhist philosophy, which offers a rich framework for looking at problems and their possible solutions.

With this background and a quick pen, I am at home helping individuals and organizations communicate about who they are and how they are creating a better future.
